Chris Hutson is an accomplished artist in the Midwest (USA). Chris is known for his meticulous illustrations. in 2005, Chris received his Master's Degree in Printmaking from LSU.
These fish prints were inspired by the classic illustrations of natural history museums and well-worn biologist's field journals. They are truly a piece of original art, reproduced to the actual size of the specimen you catch.
As a professional artist, Chris insists on high-quality, heavy, 80lb cover papers (you can feel the quality in hand) and archival inks that "will last a lifetime and beyond".
Chris is an avid outdoorsmen and can often be found mushroom hunting. Chris and his wife, Anna, live in Peoria, IL where, together, they enjoy traveling, reading, and cooking.
Mike Emerson/account rep/co-owner
The idea behind The Fish Print Shop started with Mike. Mike is a fishing enthusiast with a background in Biology. After many trips introducing his 3 boys (and their friends) to the "joys of fishing", Mike thought there should be a "better way" to give people a memento of a day on the water while still preserving fisheries.
To Mike, the pictures just don't do justice to size and grandeur of the specimen. Also it seemed that photos never leave the camera or cell phone. "People always want to show you with their hands how 'big it was'", Mike explains. "That's because seeing it life-size is so much more rewarding than the photo, heck, even a 14" largemouth (small by most standards) looks impressive when it's framed and displayed on the wall".
Mike enjoys fishing and spending time with his wife, Lisa, and their three sons.
